Projects

Our design professionals have varied project experience with local, state, federal, and commercial customers.  We have high degree marks in meeting schedules, managing project costs and exceeding customer satisfaction. Our projects have taken on all levels of developments, from simple metal buildings to day care facilities, to major office complexes. See example projects listed below:

MacDill AFB Tampa, Florida. On this project, Isaiah Engineering was a Sub-Consultant tasked to do Electrical Engineering for the design for Building 55, Building Alter 6 and new BRAC Building 6 for MacDill AFB. It occurred in a highly restricted area of CENTCOM occupied facilities.  Our team performed and was successful in navigating the challenges of limited access and highly secretive areas. The project consisted of constructing a 31,439 SF new two-story facility, renovating altering 17,400 SF of existing Building 6 and renovating 12,000 SF of existing Building 55 which serves as a collateral group headquarters facility for active duty personnel. The completed facility accommodated the consolidated Squadron Operations, Aircraft Maintenance Unit and Life Support requirements for 16 KC-135 aircraft and to be jointly used by active duty and reserve personnel. This project required two-simultaneously designed projects but was advertised and awarded as one contract. Some of the project features were incorporation of ATFP.  Measures prescribed by UFC 4-010-01, including design for the prevention of progressive collapse for multiple-story structures, designed to a LEED Silver level of certification. The renovations for Building Alter 6 and 55 consisted of upgrading and replacing walls, ceiling, lights, receptacles, parking lot lights, HVAC unit, VAV, exhaust fans, Power Panel, circuit breaker, communication system, public address system, mass notification systems, intrusion detection and security systems, audio visual technologies and components, extensive communication duct bank and underground power coordination. Environmental permitting (FL). Construction Cost: $16,575,000 ($14.2M Building 6 & $2.4M Building 55).

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Mobile, Alabama. Isaiah Engineering was a Sub-Consultant for this project and was responsible for the Electrical/Security Design and Construction Management. This project consisted of the scoping, programming and design of two facilities to support the educational and outreach ministries of the church.  The first facility was a Life Center consisting of a gym (high school), elevated walkway, production theater, library, media room, large and small meeting rooms, spas, commercial kitchen, recreational room, weight room and reception areas.  The total SF of this facility was 28,000.  The second facility, a state-of-the-art Day Care is adjoined by a two-story glass atrium.  This two-story facility includes twelve large classrooms, administrative offices and a large reception area.  Outdoor playground areas were also provided for each 1st-floor classrooms.  The total SF of this facility was 13,950. Designed “state-of-the-art” entry system with videos cameras in and around the facility. 2003 IBC standards were used for the design to meet City of Mobile requirements for the theatrical staging with elevated walkway.  This project from beginning to design completion was done in less than six months. Shows the diversity and flexibility to adapt and quickly respond to unique design and delivery requirements of projects.    Environmental permitting (AL) Construction Cost $2.5mil. for the daycare facility, park lot, and Life Center foundation and slab.

New Horizons Credit Union, Government St., Mobile, Alabama. Isaiah Engineering was a Sub-Consultant for this project and was responsible for the Facility condition assessment, Electrical/Security Design, and Construction Management. This New Horizon credit union project consisted of the renovation of the inside and outside of a warehouse/union hall building. This facility was changed to a credit union building. Through our facility condition assessment, we were able to recommend to the client ways to save in their budget and to minimize any problem that could have cost the project to be delayed. Through our assessment, the driveway was revised, and the parking lot was redesigned to provide a new covered pull-thru driveway for banking operations. The interior renovation was over 3000 SF. The main power panel was kept, just replaced circuit to accumulate the new circuit requirement. The exterior front was maintained except for the name change and the night deposit box.  This project from beginning to design completion was done in less than four months. Shows the diversity and flexibility to adapt and quickly respond to unique design and delivery requirements of projects. Construction Cost $380,000.
