Leadership Team

As President, Richard oversees client program services of team and management activities of the firm. He is responsible for the overall quality, execution, customer satisfaction of all project tasks, and the assignments of all project team members. Richard has over 30 years of experience in project development, design, programming, and construction services for the federal government and other clients. Richard has managed more than $13M (design fees) in design services since 2005 with the Army Corps of Engineers on both military and civil works projects. His electrical and instrumentation & control experience includes PLC applications, lighting design, public address systems, fire alarms, and power system design for private, public, and military clients. He has provided designs for numerous types of projects such as dormitories, paint shops, office buildings, maintenance facility, chemical facilities, banks, daycare, life center, bike trials, airfield lighting and light vault, pump lift station, booster pump station, control rooms, panel layouts, fabrication drawing and PLC, PCM, etc. Richard was a General Contractor in New York before moving to Mobile, AL in 2001. He has broad experience in commercial construction and development of projects including office, warehouse, daycare, bank, churches, facilities, airfield lighting, etc. He also has experience in construction of multi-family homes, townhouses, condominiums, remodeling, and renovation of commercial and private buildings in the past 25 years.

As Vice President of Engineering, Dr. Francisco Silva-Tulla oversees all engineering aspects of the company.  He completed his engineering degree at the University of Illinois, Champaign – Urbana and graduate studies at M.I.T.  Francisco has 46 years of professional experience participating in engineering and environmental projects and studies in roles ranging from complete responsibility (program or project management, design, plans and specifications, budget control, construction supervision, quality control, and long-term surveillance) to specialized services (supervision of work performed by other engineering firms; guidance to groups of consultants; quality assurance; value engineering; expert witness and litigation support; dam and levee safety, risk assessments, soil and groundwater exploration, sampling, analysis and characterization; and environmental assessments and impact studies).  Francisco has performed engineering and environmental work linked to CERCLA-, RCRA-, CWA-, CAA-, and NEPA-related projects.  Francisco’s experience includes work for the mining, construction, chemical, petrochemical, petroleum, power, transportation, manufacturing, and waste disposal industries as well as U.S. and foreign government agencies.  A large part of his professional experience relates to earth structures (especially embankments, dams, levees, dikes, slopes, landfills, and excavations) and the safety of constructed facilities (including probabilistic risk assessments and dam safety).  Francisco also has corporate management experience at the operating group level in consulting organizations with up to US$700MM annual revenues and military experience as an officer in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps.

As Vice-President of Business Development and Ethics Officer, John is responsible for contacting various corporate and plant leaders and communicating the advantages of partnering with Isaiah Engineering. He conveys our commitment to providing Integrity, Excellence, and Efficiency in all the projects we undertake.  John has a strong background in Engineering Project Management, Instrumentation and Controls, and Validation Engineering.  Also, John has run major manufacturing operations and has traveled internationally providing technical guidance in productivity improvement, reducing waste, and maximization of resources.  Further, he has worked in the pharmaceutical, flavors/fragrance, and power (fossil, nuclear & co-generation) industries.  John has also worked for the U.S. Department of Energy Strategic Petroleum Reserves and was responsible for the redesigned and specification of the security system for the Strategic Oil Reserves at various sites.   He also worked at the Department of Energy Hanford’s Site Replacement Transfer System Project, Richland, WA.  A letter of commendation was given for his work on this project.  Furthermore, John is involved in Emergency Preparedness, Continuity of Operations and Hazard Vulnerability Analysis.  In addition, John is a New York Guard Captain serving as a Chaplain for the 88th Brigade and is involved in Emergency Management and is a Hazardous Materials Technician and provides Therapeutic Counseling.  He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Science, Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration and Master of Divinity degrees.

As Vice President of Operations and Administration, Miguel oversees all aspects of the internal administration of the company and provides leadership for the overall operating performance of the business. He plans short-term and long-term roadmaps for the business, organizes departments, directs company resources, and provides quality control by measuring and adjusting performance. Miguel evaluates the operational processes and procedures, and develops strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of operations. He also manages the budgetary constraints of the organization and is directly responsible for day-to-day operations within the corporation. Miguel holds a Master Degree in Social & Civic Entrepreneurship and undergraduate studies in Business Administration.

Nathaniel (Nate) Everett, P.E. has over 19 years of experience in the design and engineering of electrical and instrumentation projects. He has expertise in secondary power distribution, instrumentation, and motor control and design logic for SCADA configuration. He is also experienced in budgeting, performing power load analysis, lighting calculations, designing control logic for commercial developments, SCADA and DCS systems for water, wastewater and industrial facilities. Nate also performs specification of instruments, project management, and construction observation. He completed his engineering degree at the University of Alabama.

Maurice Heidelberg, P.E. has over 16 years of mechanical engineering design experience focused in various fields such as building construction (HVAC, plumbing), marine fire protection, facilities engineering, nuclear power plant engineering and value engineering. Some of the building construction project types that he has performed include HVAC and/or plumbing design at bus maintenance garages, casinos, zoos, churches, municipal utilities and other local government buildings. The marine fire protection projects that he has designed include gaseous (clean agent) firefighting systems and fire detection systems for various private, governmental and military marine vessels. Those governmental and military marine vessels include those for the US Navy, US Coast Guard, NOAA and the US Army Corps of Engineers. He has also performed in various facility engineering design projects for NASA and has performed design work for nuclear power plants. The nuclear plant design projects include heat transfer calculations for containment buildings and net positive suction head calculations for nuclear reactor cooling pumps. He has also performed value engineering for the US Forest Service. Maurice completed his engineering degree at Mississippi State University.

Brad has over 25 years of experience in commercial construction and development of projects including office, warehouse, daycare, bank, churches and other facilities. He has experience in construction of multi-family homes, townhouses, condominiums, remodeling, and renovation of private buildings including maintenance repair of marine, and oil facilities. He is the Recipient of the Chairman’s Award for international competition. Brad is currently serving on the Board of Safety Committee for the City of Saraland, AL working with Police and Fire Department since 2012. In addition, he is known for demonstrating initiative and assertiveness, plan and manage work efficiently with the ability to work well under high stress and time constraints. He is proficient in Primavera, Workforce, Windows, MS Word, Excel, and practical knowledge of AutoCAD. He is focused on customer service and retention.

As Risk Management Officer, Ivette is mainly responsible for managing the risk to the organization, its employees, customers, reputation, assets, and interest of stakeholders.  She is responsible for advising the principals on any potential risks to the profitability or existence of the company by identifying and assessing threats and putting plans in place to avoid, reduce or transfer risks. Ivette is a highly-accomplished leader with domestic experience in strategic growth, information technology, six sigma quality, risk management, regulatory, and operations with both startup and growth organizations. She is a results-driven, dynamic leader with demonstrated success in strategic thinking, risk management, project management, process improvement and problem-solving. She has a proven track record of over twenty years of facilitating growth, productivity, and profitability with Fortune 100 companies. Ivette holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.
